Boston FHC Indoor Hockey Training
Hello, Boston! The Boston Field Hockey Club staff are looking forward to a great winter ahead, full of learning, and building confident strong athletes! Please find the link below that best describes your daughter’s age group. We look forward to seeing our current Boston players and welcoming our new ones!!!
All players will also be required to attend the team placements in their respected age groups. We allow and encourage any players wanting to “play up” an age group to let us know and you can attend additional placement practices. You are required to always play in your age group but are always allowed to do “extra” as well.
Boston FHC’s Youth (U10, U12) program welcome’s new players to the game of indoor field hockey as well as younger players who are looking to continue learning the game and want to play in a fun, competitive environment with a focus on growth, team work, and skill work in a team atmosphere.
These individuals will be placed on a team in their age and skill group. The teams focus will be to develop basic indoor skills and tactics, as well as other elite aspects of the game while developing and maintaining a skill set needed to play at any level in a team setting!
All teams will be guaranteed TWO tournaments as well as training with their indoor tuition. Youth will have ONE guaranteed tournament. Additional tournaments will be at the discretion of individuals and teams for additional fees.
The top two U14 teams are automatically entered into the National Indoor Tournament at Spooky Nook Sports in Lancaster, PA between February 16 – 19. IF selected to one of the top TWO indoor U14 teams, players will be committing to an additional National Indoor Tournament fee (around $550). The U-14 NIT is now a four day tournament format broken into two tournament waves. U-14 teams will end up only playing Three Consecutive tournament days dependent on wave assignment. Wave 1 = Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Wave 2 = Saturday, Sunday, Monday.
The top 4 teams in the U16 and U19 age divisions will have National Indoor Qualifier Tournaments. Please refer to the website to see potential dates and plan accordingly with your high school coaches.
